APJ Abdul Kalam always said: ‘If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.’
All affirmatively believed that teachers are the gift of God born to inspire hope, ignite every student’s imagination and instill the love of learning that shapes the future. The derived legitimate conception that teaching is the only profession that creates all other professions called for abundance respect from the entire societal forces.
The effervescent, young, versatile, talented and super cognitive generation is all set to celebrate ‘Teacher’s Day’ today. It is 5 th September. The imperial purpose enforced on us since generations – Respect your teachers and celebrate this special day every year.All over India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th Sep every year for showing due respect to all the teachers in the country. This marks the Birth Anniversary of our first Vice-President and the second President of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
With lockdown restrictions and social distancing norms put in place, DPS-JC family has decided to celebrate Teacher’s Day virtually. The virtual event was visualized by all the faculty members and students. It was a great experience for all.
The celebration was piolted by Gousiya Memon( House Prefect- Vayu House) and Vanshika Agrawal ( Cultural Secretary, DPS-JC) of Class XI.They steered all the events like a skilled seafarers. With the Deep ignition by honourable Principal, Kalpana Singh the programme started with zeal and zest. Honorable Shri Yashwant Kumar Ji Dist Collector, Janjgir -Champa was the Chief Guest and Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan ji , President, Delhi Public School Janjgir-Champa was the Guest of Honour. There were some noteworthy performances by the students in the form of dance by Yukti Agrawal, Class – XI and song by Aradhy Sao of Class VIII especially created in honour of the teachers, which had a mesmerizing appeal. The children showed gratitude to the teachers, they described how the teachers helped them to excel in academics. They also made giftcards with the help of online resources and personal greeting cards to honour their teacher mentioning their hard work, especially during online classes. They made the teachers proud and their messages touched teachers’ heart.Sandili Dewangan,The Head Girl of the School presented a Welcome Speech and Harshita Bajoria thrown light on the importance of Teacher’s Day in her speech. Chirag Tabhane, The Head Boy compiled small video clips of
students to show gratitude towards the Second line Corona Warriors,the Educators.
The Chief Guest Shri Yashwant Kumar Ji appreciated the role of Teachers in the society and Guest of Honour Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan congratulated all the teachers for their efforts.
In the end Shiya Diwan proposed the Vote of Thanks.
It was a novice experience that taught us how a programme can be successfully compiled and completed in the situation of constant instability due to the prevailing pandemic.
