TRAINING SESSION ON CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT, AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

“Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges.” A teacher has to impart knowledge and enlighten students toward better careers. Teaching is a profession that involves constantly motivating students to give their best. In order to achieve their teaching goals in a better way, effective teachers should also act as effective classroom managers and effective communicators. In a successful classroom management and effective communication, students need are at the heart of the teaching process. So to enhance the quality of the teachers our school DPS-JC organized a training session on classroom management and effective communication on 12th August, 2022. Mr.John Nogueira, International Trainer and Motivational Speaker was the resource person of the day. The program began with the welcoming of the resource person and the principal Mrs. Kalpana Singh. The session was conducted by Mr. John Nogueira, an ELT Spoken English Trainer from Trinity College London. According to him the effective classroom management strategies and skills of communication are essential even for the most talented teachers. Learning simply cannot occur alongside misbehaviour and chaos. Instructions flourish upon leading a classroom environment that promotes a collaborative community, encouraging student’s voice, creativity, leadership, critical thinking and effective teamwork. By taking part to this training course on effective classroom management and effective communication, our teachers had learnt how to include reflective moments and peer-education in one’s teaching practice in order to monitor and improve classroom behaviors.
