Annual functions are much-awaited events in every school’s calendar, as they provide an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to come together and celebrate the achievements and talents of the school community. At DPS[1]JC, the annual function held on 26th November 2022, titled “Ek Dashak, The Journey of DPS-JC,” was a spectacular affair that left everyone enthralled. With Shri K . Srinivasan , RO, C B S E , Bhubaneswar Region, and Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, Head, COE, CBSE, Bhubaneswar Region, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively, the event showcased the indomitable spirit and unwavering commitment of the DPS-JC family.
Recreating the Moments of a Decade: The theme of this year’s annual function, “Ek Dashak, The Journey of DPS-JC,” perfectly encapsulated the essence of the event. It highlighted the school’s incredible journey over the past decade, reflecting upon the numerous milestones and accomplishments. The DPS-JC famil y, known for their consistent hard works, enthusiasm and energy, left the spectators speechless creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the stakeholders of DPS-JC for the resounding success of the annual function, Elysium – 2022. The event was a testament to the collective efforts and dedication of Honourable Principal ma’am Mrs. Kalpana Singh, the teachers, and parents who worked tirelessly to make it a memorable affair. From intricate stage designs to mesmerizing performances, every aspect of the function was meticulously planned and executed, leaving the audience awestruck.
The theme of this year’s annual function, “Ek Dashak, The Journey of DPS-JC,” portrays the voyage of the school through vibrant performances. The chief guest were welcomed by the students while performing trio songs of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal which reflected the rich cultures of these three states. The guest were given bouquet by the students and honourable Principal Ma’am ignited the lamp and took blessings for completing successfully and beautifully. Ms Archana Chauhan addressed theaudience with her welcome speech which was followed by a welcome dance. Thereafter the hon’ble Principal read the annual report of the academic session 2022-23 comprising all the accomplishments of the school. The esteemed President Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan delivered a speech emphas i s ing the eminenc e of education, achievements of students and school as well. At this very moment Dr. Akhilesh kumar (Guest of Honour) also delivered a talk about the current education scenario, morality and the essential skills required for the current world. Eventually, the Chief Guest Mr. K. Shrinivasan delivered the last speech of the event highlighting the quality of education, challenges in education. The eloquent speech intrigued the young minds and the audience too.
It was a poignant reminder that time is fleeting and every moment is precious. The DPS-JC family, through their performances and presentations, conveyed the importance of seizing opportunities, pursuing dreams, and embracing change. The students’ talents shone brightly on the stage in the form of dance showcasing their commitment, perseverance, and resilience in the face of challenges.

The event featured captivating dance performances, soul-stirring musical renditions, exhilarating theatrical productions, and awe-inspiring displays of sporting prowess. The stage was filled with vibrant colors and electrifying energy as students showcased their talents, leaving the audience spellbound.
