ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

If knowledge is food for the brain, sports are the power for the body.

The much-awaited ‘Annual Sports Day’ was st organized on 21 October, 2022 with great zeal, excitement, and fun and frolic. On this special day, the President of DPS-JC, Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan was the Chief Guest. The programme was started with a heartwarming welcome song. All the students and teachers were very energetic on this day; enthusiasm could be easily seen in their eyes. Our Chief Guest arrived at 9:30 am and inaugurated our sports programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Various sports programs were organized by the Sports Department of the School on this auspicious day in which students of different classes participated according to their areas of interests. All the games were organized in our school playgrounds.

Students from different grades from Nursery to class XII competed in different events. The games included running events like 100m & 200m flat race, relays, sack race, for both boys and girls. A tug-of-war between Male teachers and Class XII boys as well as all other students added to the enjoyment of the day with all spectators cheering at the top of their voices for their preferred teams. There were different winners for different competitions, with the winner’s trophy, that is the overall champion’s trophy won by Aakash House. The programme was successfully hosted by Miss Archana Chauhan and concluded with an acknowledgment by Mrs. Ompriya Chaudhary. With lots of joy to many and a little disappointment to some, the annual sports day came to a successful end.
