CHESS COMPETITION (MIDDLE) 19th June 2021

“The winner is the one who makes the next – to – last mistake. Chess is a war over the board. The object is to crush the opponent’s mind.” Child should play chess as it’s a mental workout. One great benefit is that brain power helps your children to perform well in the classroom at school…. As there aren’t endless games that are not only fun but also help the thinking skills, chess is a great choice.

In view of this Chess Competition was organised by DPS-JC for classes VI & VII, Middle Wing, So that Children will be able to acquire the skill of concentration.

As we all know children have difficulties focusing on tasks and that’s why such events are conducted where the child  get a chance to think strategically : Learn how to strengthen their planning abilities.

Boys and Girls belonging to different houses fought it out on the chess board to emerge as winners at the event that was held at Janjgir Champa Delhi Public School Janjgir-Champa. The School’s virtual platform Chess Competition saw enthusiastic participation of children from across four houses. The competition was held separately for boys and girls.

Overall , the Activity Incharges Deepshikha & Kishore Kumar Rout conducted the event smoothly. The viewers were enthalled by the impeccable performance of the students.
