EARTH DAY CELEBRATION – 2022
“Earth rejoices our words, breathing and peaceful steps. Let every breathe, every word and every step make the mother earth proud of us.”
Earth Day , annual celebration honoring the achievement of the environmental movement and raising awareness of the importance of long term ecological sustainability. The day marked on April 22nd , is observed worldwide with rallies, conference, outdoor activities and service project to raise the awareness among the students. DPS-JC celebrated the World Earth Day with great enthusiasm and zeal in the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Garden, Janjgir as well as in school campus on 22nd April 2022 Many dignitaries including honorable Chief Guest Dr. Abhishek Pallava, The Superintendent of Police Janjgir-Champa and Special Guest Mr. Gitesh Kumar Kaushik, Secretary DLSA Dist.& Session court, Janjgir.
Ankitesh Kumar and Ayushi Jain hosted the celebration in the enthusiastic way. To mark the Earth Day and emphasize upon the need to save trees Aashaka Rathore presented a motivating speech. A melodious song and outstanding dance performance was presented by the students of DPS-JC. The Chief Guest Mr. Abhishek Pallava, Superintendent of Police Janjgir-Champa spoke about the significance of protecting Earth and its natural resources and to return the flavor of Mother Earth by planting more trees, by controlling pollution and by making it a greener planet. It was followed by signature campaign which was done by the honorable Chief Guest, Special Guest, Principal of DPS-JC, Parents, Teachers and many others. At the end of the program all the dignitaries planted the saplings. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Aashaka Rathore.
