ENGLISH STORY WRITING COMPETITION (JUNIOR) ; 26th June 2021
A story writing is a work of ‘Fiction or Imagination’ that is usually written in “Easily understandable grammatical structure” with “Natural flow of speech”.
Story writing competition is a great way to help children to develop imagination & spark creativity. DPS-JC Junior Section held English Story Writing Competition on 26th June 2021 wherein the children of classes IV & V participated enthusiastically. The motive of this competition was to stimulate the imagination of children & enable them to give a better shape to noteworthy write ups. Such competitions on virtual mode is a great opportunity for creative writer since the world is becoming digital and to excel their interest in literature and writing in general Competitors were judged on five key elements i.e., character (fewer is better), setting(brief but poetic and vivid), plot(as simple and interesting as possible), conflict(intense but one) and theme(relating to majority of readers).
Our judges were amazed to see transformation of young minds into creative writers according to their age. Overall the response of the competition was positive and healthy.
