“Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self, through the self.” Yoga has physical, mental and spiritual benefits that have been visibly felt by the people across the world. As Yoga is a holistic healer, it has immense benefits for students. Regular practice of Yoga, that is asanas and pranayama, helps students to concentrate and learn the things in a better way, stay active and fit, thereby improving their performance in academics and co-curricular activities Delhi Public School, Janjgir-Champa had commemorated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm on 21st June 2022. The distinguished Chief Guest was Mrs. Kumudini Wag Dwivedi, DEO of Janjir-Champa. Her presence added a flavor of decorum to the event. It was started with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati and ceremonial lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Kumudini Wag Dwivedi, HM Mrs Smarita Das and HR Mr. Hardeep Singh. The yoga practice was done by our teachers; Mr. Prince Rai and Mr. Rajan Nath and the students learnt the art of yoga and enjoyed it whole heartedly. On this very special occasion our school had invited the achiever students to felicitate them along with their proud parents. The names of students are as follows: 1. Prashil Khare (Qualified JEE Advanced and got admission in IIST, Thiruvanantpuram) 2. Lucky Soni (Qualified JEE Advanced and got admission in NITRaipur) 3. Shristy Mahilangey ( State Level Champion of ABACUS) The program was beautifully hosted by Ms. Monalisha. A refreshing welcome speech was presented by HM Mrs. Smarita Das. To add the cherry on the cake our students gave a wonderful yoga dance performance. The day ended with presenting the memento to the Chief Guest. At the end, Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Priyanka Roy.
