NATIONAL UNITY DAY

Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power.

In India, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day is celebrated every year st since 2014 on 31 October to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ provides an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation towards upholding the unity, integrity, and security of our country. The day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in ‘Delhi Public School, Janjgir[1]Champa’ every year. This year also a special assembly was conducted in the school to mark this occasion. Honorable Principal shared some facts and discussed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in the unification of India. Thereafter, all the students were administered an oath of unity and then a race named ‘RUN FOR UNITY’ to foster the spirit of brotherhood amongst the younger generation and the future torch bearers of the country , was conducted in the school campus, in which the students of ‘Government Primary School took part enthusiastically. Some gifts and snacks were also provided to the students to refresh their body and mind after such a tiring exercise. Thus the students learnt a good lesson to build up a harmonious Human relationship and to spread the message of love amongst the countrymen for a better and strong nation.
